Problem
Order picking ignored aging PCB stock, leaving $872K of obsolete inventory tying up working capital and warehouse space.
Approach
- Mapped PCB consumption patterns across product families
- Defined depletion-priority rules in Epicor Kinetic with the supply-chain team
- Implemented the same logic in the automation layer so generated BOMs honored it
- Tracked monthly drawdown via Power BI to keep the program on plan
Outcome
Obsolete inventory cut by 45% in a year, while keeping production schedules intact.
